I am a Research Officer at the National Institute for Medical Research in Mwanza. Holds a Master’s of Sociology speciality in medical sociology at St Augustine University of Tanzania and a degree in Sociology at the University of Dodoma, Tanzania. I possess strong capabilities in health research and have been involved in various NTDs studies (such as schistosomiasis, fascioliasis, rabies, snake bites, and STH), climate change, One Health research, and other vector-borne diseases, including malaria. I am a social specialist who can incorporate social behaviour aspects into any health research, from concept to data analysis. I can conduct qualitative and quantitative research, can use NVIVO and Dedoose software for data analysis, and am a beginner in the Statistical Package STATA
In addition, I have five years of experience in social welfare services, including family and child protection, and I have served as a member of the Council Health Management Team (CHMT) in Handeni District. I have coordinated the Community Health Fund and worked in collaboration with partners, including World Vision Africa, AMREF Tanzania, and GIZ. I bring the ability to translate community behaviours into actionable insights that strengthen health interventions and policies.
