Dr. Mgolegrace Smart Mabusi

RESEARCH OFFICER

Dr Mgolegrace is a medical doctor, public health researcher, and epidemiologist with extensive experience in implementation science, health policy, and the development of community-centred interventions. She has contributed significantly to infectious disease epidemiology and improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations, including persons with disabilities. Her portfolio includes several projects and health equity awards, as well as her work on NIH-funded and NIHR-funded projects.

Her research interests span HIV prevention and treatment design, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), infectious diseases, and humanitarian health response. She has demonstrated the ability to employ data-driven methodologies and analytical techniques to address complex health challenges and improve community health outcomes. She is deeply committed to translating research into policy and practice, advancing health equity, and strengthening capacity at both community and institutional levels.
