Investing in African traditional medicine and innovations to attain universal health coverage

BACKGROUND

The National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders invite researchers, academicians, traditional and alternative health practitioners, public health experts, students, and the general public to the third Traditional Medicine Scientific Conference and Exhibition to be held on 31st August 2024 in Mwanza, Tanzania. The conference will be preceded by the African Traditional Medicine Week exhibitions which will run from 25th to 30th August 2024.

SUB-THEMES

– Traditional medicine research in non-communicable diseases.
– Traditional medicine research in communicable diseases.
– Traditional medicine research in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health.
– Integration of traditional medicine into healthcare systems.

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

– The abstract should not exceed 300 words including five keywords.
– Font size 12 points Arial with 1.5 line spacing.
– The title should be in bold capital letters followed by a blank line.
– Presenting Author’s name must be bolded and underlined.
– Author’s names should be written as Initials followed by Surname e.g. H Malinye; JJ Kayumba.
– Affiliation and email address of the presenting author should follow a list of authors.
– The abstract should have the following elements: Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
– Please indicate whether your presentation is an Oral or Poster.
– Deadline for submission of abstracts is 26th July 2024. Abstracts notification 2nd August 2024.
