Dr. Obadia K. Bishoge is a Research Scientist and Head of Health Research Regulation Section at National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR). He is also an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, School of Public Health and Social Sciences at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences. Dr. Bishoge holds a PhD in Environmental Management from the Pan African University, Life and Earth Sciences Institute (including Health and Agriculture) and University of Ibadan, Nigeria; a MEng in Environmental Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China; and a BA in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Dr. Bishoge has over 10 years of experience in environmental and public health management and published at least 38 peer reviewed scientific papers. Dr. Bishoge worked as an Environment Officer at Masasi District Council before joining NIMR in 2020. His research interests include climate change and health, environmental and occupational health, implementation research, behavioral change in healthcare, sanitation and hygiene, public health systems, environmental management, and policy brief and systematic reviews writing. Furthermore, Dr. Bishoge is a mentor to junior staff, Masters and PhD students in Africa.
