Time to Deliver Zero Malaria: Invest, Innovate, Implement
The World Health Organisation (WHO) celebrates World Malaria Day each year on 25 April to underscore the collective energy and commitment of the global malaria community in uniting around the common goal of a malaria-free world. This year’s theme was “Time to Deliver Zero Malaria: Invest, Innovate, Implement”. Tanzania joined the rest of the World to observe this day in a two days event that took place at Mnazi Mmoja grounds in Dar-es-salaam from 24th to 25th of April. The Ministry of Health coordinated Malaria Day through the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) and involved exhibitions from the hosts (NMCP) and other stakeholders involved in the fight against malaria, including research and academic institutions, non-governmental organisations, as well as international partners.
