Dr. Mtove is a Medical Doctor and Senior Research Officer at the National Institute for Medical Research, Amani Centre. He holds a Master of Science from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK. He is currently a PhD Student at the University of Copenhagen.
Dr. Mtove has a track record in epidemiological studies and clinical trials for over 15 years focusing on both infectious and non-communicable diseases.
Dr. Mtove is experienced in conducting hospital and community based studies, surveys and surveillance. Some of his research work contributed to the management guidelines for malaria and invasive bacteria diseases.
Dr. Mtove is involved in mentorship and supervision of junior staff and student attached to the projects, and has published 50 papers as first or co-author.
