Mr. Imani is a Centre Accountant at NIMR Mbeya, Associate Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice (National Board of Accountant & Auditors-NBAA), Certified Tax Consultant (Tanzania Revenue Authority-TRA), Advanced Diploma in Accountancy (St. Augustine University of Tanzania-SAUT) and Diploma in Business Administration (College of Business Education-CBE). Imani has been worked as a civil servant from January 2010 when he started as an accountant assistant at Morogoro Municipal at the begin of his account career and then as assistant accountant at National Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) from July 2010 to December 2014. His auditing profession at NIMR began in 2015 immediately after attaining his CPA and this ended up three years later after being promoted to be Centre accountant at NIMR Mbeya Centre in June 11, 2018 the position he holds to date. He engages himself privately in audit, training (Mentoring young accountants) and consultancy services through his own venture called Shrewd (TZ) Associates. He has been dealing with number of engagements in Consulting, Taxation and auditing assignment being auction; Microfinance, Catering and trading just to mention few that have considerably improved his experience in management specifically risk identification, mitigation and ensure systems of internal controls are in place for these risks. His exposure to a variety of clients and industries has enabled him to obtain a preliminary understanding of accounting, Taxation and auditing practices, in addition to his developed skills in controls identification and implementation he has been exposed at NIMR set-ups. Frequently he attends seminars under the NBAA’s continue professional development making him a good and up to date cog. In May this year he has applied for Masters of Science in Project Management at Eastern Southern Management Institute (ESAMI), He is also a committed husband of Genofeva and father of two children Ivona and Ian.
